Dance of Light Series – Luminescent Sculpture

Dance of Light I is a form of papier mache. My teacher, William Leslie named this technique “light sculpture”.  The frame is constructed from flat and round reed then papered in 3 layers with tissue paper coated with a glue and water solution.  When dry it is quite durable and is then fitted with a light fixture inside of it.  Anyone interested in this type of art can place an order for a piece similar to one shown, or discuss a custom design.  I plan to do more with this art form in the future as well, both in the white you see here and with color and texture.

Pricing
Price depends largely on the size and complexity of the design.  In general, taking the maximum dimension, prices would be

small - 18" x 30"            $300 to $600
medium - 36" x 60"        $600 to $1000
large - 60" and up          $1000 and up

Shipping & handling charges vary, and are dependent upon the size of the sculpture and your location.
